1980 BMW R100
“Anvil” a heavy iron block with a flat top and concave sides, on which metal can be hammered and shaped. We felt this name was very appropriate as this bike has been hand crafted from metal!
Off to Bucharest, Romania to its new owner; FRED, a guy who does not organises super yachts for the rich and famous that float around the Mediterranean Sea; quite appropriate as Kevils are based in the English Riviera!
Fred’s idea was for us to create a cool bmw that looks like a production bike from the 1950/60’s that he could look cool on and display in his offices in the up and coming area of Eastern Europe.
We tried to have less Bling; matting and brushing all the finishes to make the bike look understated. The tank is not even BMW it’s hand made out of alloy by a member of our team for a more vintage look!
We used Firestone deluxe tyres from the States and discreet led Indicators mixing new with old, so the clever part is it all looks a bit stock but it’s all custom built but hey we have had plenty of practice! This is number 75 of the bmw airheads we have built so far, and the order book is still looking very healthy!
Every thing is better than new on this one, fully ground up restoration as per usual on all Kevils builds!
