1982 BMW R100
Following the sale of this years show bobber artisan to a client in Tokyo, Japan his our latest Bobber, ‘OldSkool’!
Based on a 1982 BMW r100 1000cc this machine features a reworked rear frame to imitate earlier classic models such as the r69 from the fifties and sixties. The bike also has a removable pillion carrying section with matching twin leather solo seats, the bike also boasts vintage triumph USA handlebars for that Brat look! The Tank and mudguards are custom painted in ‘Panther black’ metallic and contrasting old English white speed stripes. The wheels are also powder coated in this same classic colour and are shod with Avon rubber for a real Oldskool style, the exhaust is also a neat feature on this bike going across the frame enabling the down pipes to actually cross over inside the silencer, the air box and engine covers have also been retro fitted from earlier models!
Again as usual all our latest bikes have completely rebuilt and vapour blasted engines transmissions and diffs, mikuni carbs plus all of the electrical components have been upgraded during the nut and bolt ground up restoration, customisation plus everything else you would expect from a Kevils Speed Shop build.
This bike was commissioned by a client in London so keep an eye out Hipsters!
Before there was OldTimer now there is OldSkool! Appropriately photographed in Paignton’s old town by Ashley Kent.
