1980 BMW R100 Street Scrambler
‘Storm’ Built for a member of the design team at Land Rover Jaguars in the Midlands. Storm’s proud new owner; Martin came to me with some ideas in mind before christmas 2014; a BMW r100 street scrambler painted in Ferrari colours with a matt finish, a brown leather seat, snowflake wheels and a high level exhaust system. We did the rest!
We Fitted sports bike levers, halo headlight and a funky new guard. We added a humped cafe style brown leather seat, not a flat one that everybody now seems to hate! We added Moto scope pro’s amazing all singing German speedo, led rear light and indicators, nice chunky Dunlop tyres, heavy duty adjustable shocks and tapered bars. The engine was comprehensively overhauled before being given key powder coated accents of black. Bing carbs are out, Mikunis are in, sucking through pod filters. The combo of these and a free-flowing exhaust add a spritely edge to the rather reserved character of the boxer twin.
Obviously this was a total ground up rebuild renewing, replacing, upgrading, rewiring, refreshing, restoring, renovating, refurbishing, refinishing Every Single component as with all Kevils BMW’s not leaving any thing to chance.
