The Story

Last year Kevils built a great escape theme bike called Virgil for the prestigious motorcycle clothing company Moto Legends to promote the Steve McQueen inspired gear inc Barbour jackets, bell helmets, this cool classic style had many admirers who saw our bike at the unseen McQueen exhibition of art and memorabilia set on the top floor of a multi story car park in Soho, London.

We were uncertain of a name for such a iconic classically styled Beemer so we asked our Facebook followers to come up with a suitable name, after around 100 suggestions ranging from ‘Black Betty’ to ‘Thumper’ we decided on ‘Oldtimer’ which we feel hits the mark perfectly!
This r100/7 was the oldest bike in our inventory of donor bikes and it’s been in stock longer than all the other bikes just waiting in the shadows to be transformed into something very special that looks like a bmw production bike from the 1950’s.
We have seamlessly grafted on many generic parts from vintage Triumph and BSA’s from that era including front and rear polished alloy mudguards, chrome cherry bomb silencers, number plate boards and lights plus classic triumph handlebars, keeping switch gear to a minimum. We replaced the volt gauge in the headlamp for a high spec motogadget unit which gives the bike a modern twist. The single seat is even upholstered in dark grey leather which brings out the deep glossy paintwork and powder coating which really gives this bike a touch of class.

Not only does this bike look great it’s also undergone a complete gound up nut and bolt restoration replacing and upgrading everything so it’s even better than new.
